The consortium includes the Ministry of Environment of the Moldova as Associated Partner. MoE-Moldova is a government institution responsible for environmental protection and conservation in the country. Its main role is to develop and implement policies, regulations, and programs related to environmental issues. This ministry oversees matters such as air and water quality, biodiversity, waste management, and climate change initiatives. It collaborates with other governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development in Moldova. The Ministry of Environment implements projects through its subordinated institutions and the National Office for the Implementation of the Environmental Projects.

Apart from supporting the project’s activities, the Ministry of Environment will also give its commitment to adopt the findings and recommendations that will result from the project. Furthermore, the Ministry of Environment, as the top-level authority in the Moldova, will involve during the project implementation all other relevant actors and organizations including “Moldsilva” Agency – that at present is responsible for the management of the Protected Areas (PAs) in Moldova.
